ECTS - Grade distribution tables

ECTS grade distribution tables are tools of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). They have been developed to facilitate the conversion of the students’ grades in a given country into the grades in another. The ECTS system has been adopted by the countries belonging to the European Higher Education Area according to standards agreed at European level.

As recommended in the European ECTS Users' guide 2015 and the Ministerial Decrees transposing European legislation, Università Politecnica delle Marche each year provides the statistical distribution of the grades awarded over a period of time for the reference groups identified. Each grade is indicated alongside the actual percentage of students that receive it. Since many grading systems co-exist in Europe, the person in charge of the conversion of grades compares the statistical distribution of grades in the parallel reference group of another institution with its own. On the basis of this comparison individual grades can be converted

The grade distribution tables of Università Politecnica delle Marche can be found by clicking on the subject area (Agriculture, Economics, Engineering, Medicine and Science) on the left-hand side of the page and the Study Course you are interested in.
